La Conférence internationale de haut-niveau pour l’intégrité de l’information et les médias indépendants réunira les dirigeants mondiaux dans le cadre du Forum de Paris sur la paix 2025
PARIS, le 16 septembre 2025 : Annoncée la semaine dernière, une conférence internationale de haut niveau, organisée par le Fonds international pour les médias d'intérêt public (IFPIM) et le Forum pour l'information et la démocratie (FID), deux initiatives ayant bénéficié du soutien du Président de la République et de l’appui du gouvernement français, réunira les 29 et 30 octobre une coalition élargie d'États et d’acteurs de la société civile et du secteur privé, engagés dans la défense d’une information libre et fiable. La Conférence se tiendra dans le cadre du Forum de Paris sur la Paix (PPF) 2025."

International Fund to Begin Funding Independent Nigerian Media Outlets in 2026
28 August, Accra: The International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) announced today that it will include Nigeria among the countries where the Fund makes grants, expanding the global portfolio to 44 countries, including ten in Africa. The International Fund will undertake preliminary field assessments in coming months and will begin making grants to Nigerian independent media organizations as of 2026.

The International Fund Reinforces Access to Trustworthy Information in Moldova through New Grants to Local Independent Media
August 6, Paris: The International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) today announced new grants to four media organizations in Moldova. The four news outlets publish in Romanian and Russian and operate in regions outside the capital Chișinău, including areas where citizens have few other sources of credible information and are vulnerable to external disinformation campaigns.

Friday, 4 July, Paris: The International Fund for Public Interest Media cordially invites independent media organizations from Belarus and Azerbaijan operating from exile to participate in a call for proposals for grant support. The Open Call for Belarusian exiled media is coordinated jointly with the JX Fund.

IFPIM Confirmed as an international Organization hosted by France
4 March, Paris — Announced last week through a decree issued by the French Prime Minister, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and other government officials, the International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) has been granted all privileges and immunities available under the Ordonnance n° 2022-533, which establishes its status as an International Organization hosted by France.

New Partnership Launched to Ensure Linguistic Diversity and Broad Journalistic Content for AI Models
Paris, 10 February — The International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) today announced the creation of the Global Media Trust, a new initiative and platform to enable news content creators - particularly those producing content in the Global Majority - to be paid for content essential to training AI Large Language Models (LLMs) and to foster linguistic diversity in the development of AI technology.

International Fund for Public Interest Media Provides a Lifeline to Independent News Outlets in Eastern Europe
October 17, Paris: The International Fund for Public Interest Media today announced awards of new grant support to five independent media organizations in Moldova and Georgia, confirmed between March and September of 2024. Support to these independent news outlets expands the total investment in the region to just over US$ 3 million, and doubles the number of organizations funded in Eastern Europe since 2022.
