TVN

Founded in 2020 by a group of journalists from the northern region of Moldova, TVN is committed to providing accurate and fair information to communities in Northern Moldova. Through its main platform, Tvn.md, and its associated social media channels, TVN is a key provider of regional news, with a strong and growing presence in the northern part of the country.

TVN serves the public interest by promoting transparency and countering disinformation through a community-based approach. Its content strategy includes video investigations, social media campaigns, and educational materials aimed at amplifying the voices of underrepresented and vulnerable groups.

TVN distributes its content through its website and across social media platforms including Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Telegram, publishing an average of 20 to 30 articles daily. TVN has been recognized among the top 10 most credible media institutions in the Republic of Moldova, according to the Media Radar platform managed by the Independent Journalism Center.

With the support of the International Fund, TVN will expand its content offerings in a critical period for the country, with a focus on countering disinformation and investigations. The outlet will also work towards greater financial sustainability.
