Texty.org.ua is an independent, award-winning Ukrainian online media outlet established in 2010 and based in Kyiv, published by the non-profit Data Journalism Agency. A pioneer of data journalism in Ukraine, Texty pairs in-depth investigation and concise news formats, with sophisticated data analysis and visualisation.

The team works with a wide range of sources, from government and municipal open data to satellite imagery, and increasingly applies machine-learning models and AI to its reporting. A core strand of its work is the systematic study of Russian propaganda and information campaigns.

The outlet’s mission, shared with its publishing organisation, is to strengthen the transparency and accountability of those in power by making complex information clear and usable. A member of the Global Investigative Journalism Network and the European Data Journalism Network, Texty has earned numerous international recognition, including SIGMA Awards, the European Press Prize, and a Prix Europa nomination.

The International Fund’s support will enable Texty to continue its crucial, data-driven journalistic work while also strengthening the technological and financial areas of the organisation's work: the outlet plans to establish a Chief Technical Officer position, improve its website, and strengthen its membership program.
