Founded in 2010, Chequeado is a non-profit aiming to enhance public debate and democracy in Argentina through fact-checking, investigative journalism and innovation. With the International Fund’s support, they plan to establish a “Federal Network of Innovative Journalism” to expand their reach and support local media. They will also explore new revenue sources by commercializing their tech tools and offering services like misinformation monitoring. Additionally, Chequeado will strengthen their innovation and institutional development capabilities to support their new monetization strategy.
