Assafir Al-Arabi (AsA)

Assafir Al-Arabi is a regional independent media platform founded in 2012, dedicated to producing in-depth, accessible, and socially engaged journalism on political, economic, and cultural issues across the Arab world. Their work highlights underreported perspectives and amplifies voices often marginalized in mainstream coverage. Based in Lebanon, we serve audiences across the region and diaspora through our website, newsletters, and newly launched social media channels, including Instagram. The International Fund’s support is helping them address a central challenge:that is how to sustain and diversify their reach in an increasingly fragmented and volatile media environment. With this grant, Asaafir is strengthening their digital presence, experimenting with multimedia formats, and deepening its audience engagement strategies, while continuing to provide fact-based, contextualized reporting that contributes to a richer understanding of the region’s realities.
