Assafir Al-Arabi

Assafir Al-Arabi is a regional independent media platform founded in 2012, dedicated to producing in-depth, accessible, and socially engaged journalism on political, economic, and cultural issues across the Arab world. Its work highlights underreported perspectives and amplifies voices often marginalised in mainstream coverage. Based in Lebanon, it serves audiences across the region and the diaspora through its website, newsletters, and newly launched social media channels, including Instagram. To address the central challenge of sustaining and diversifying its reach in an increasingly fragmented and volatile media environment, Assafir Al-Arabi has received funding to strengthen its digital presence, experiment with multimedia formats, and deepen its audience engagement strategies, while continuing to provide fact-based, contextualised reporting that contributes to a richer understanding of the region’s realities.
