Mikhail Nikolaev

Mikhail Nikolaev is Finance Director at the International Fund for Public Interest Media, overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and financial planning to support the International Fund’s operations and strategic priorities.

He has 13 years of experience in corporate finance and audit. Mikhail began his career at KPMG as an external auditor, then joined Imerys, where he served as an internal auditor before moving into financial controlling roles across international scopes. There, he worked on internal controls design and testing, management reporting, and performance management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Mikhail later became Group Financial Controller at Micropole, where he led group-level finance processes, including quarterly consolidation, bi-annual financial statement publication, cash flow and working-capital oversight, and executive-facing business partnering.

Mikhail is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds an Executive Certificate in Strategy from HEC Paris.
