The International Fund’s Donors and Supporters

The International Fund operates as a pooled fund to channel flexible, core funding to independent media organisations, and as a vehicle for knowledge-sharing, collaboration and collective action. The International Fund’s diverse set of donors and supporters includes government, philanthropic and private sector stakeholders.

Financial Supporters

IFPIM is the only global multilateral fund dedicated to financing independent journalism at scale in low-and middle-income countries. As a multilateral fund launched in 2022 and recognized officially as an International Organization, the International Fund has received financial contributions from 25 donors to date.

Strategic partners and Council Members

The International Fund is also supported by strategic partners and governments with seats on the Fund’s Council, one of two governance bodies.
