Alejandra Treviño Arias

As a Senior Programme Associate for Latin America and the Caribbean, Alejandra supports the Fund’s grantmaking processes across the region, provides recommendations to strengthen grantees’ MEL processes and develops qualitative analysis on regional progress, trends, and learning. She is part of the International Fund's Latin America and Caribbean team and is a Mexican national currently based at the Fund’s headquarters in Paris.
Alejandra holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Human Rights and Democracy. Her professional background spans journalism, civil society, and public institutions. Alejandra began her career at a local newspaper before building a career in mexican autonomous public bodies including those overseeing human rights and electoral issues. She has also worked at the United Nations Development Programme and in the civil society space as a consultant, providing capacity-building, advocacy, and research support to different initiatives, grounding her work in a strong commitment to social justice and community-driven change.
