Sud FM is a Senegalese commercial radio station broadcasting in Wolof and French, part of the Groupe Sud Communication. Launched in July 1994 and inaugurated by President Abdou Diouf, it holds a landmark place in the country's media history as the first private radio station established in Senegal following the liberalisation of the airwaves.

Sud FM helped break the state's monopoly on broadcasting and played a significant role in strengthening Senegalese democracy and freedom of expression — notably through its interactive programmes and its live broadcasting of election results, which contributed to the country's first democratic transition of power in 2000. Its programming centres on news, political and economic analysis, social debate, and culture, with particular attention to development, democracy, and human rights. Now reaching audiences across Senegal's major cities and regions, Sud FM remains a respected and influential voice and a training ground for many leading African journalists.
