The cohort program, which will begin to fund a group of new grantees this year, aims to provide media organizations in the Pacific with the necessary tools to continue creating impactful journalism and secure their long-term success, with funding and strategic support. Over three years, the International Fund will provide core grant funding in tandem with strategic planning, management consultation and technical support from industry experts.
The International Fund is a multilateral fund designed to support public interest media in low- and middle-income countries through direct grants to support long-term sustainability. We support media organizations with the goal of ensuring that public interest media have the tools and resources needed to survive and to avoid capture by vested interests in the short term, and to thrive in the long term.
